Job Description

The Product Specialist position primarily involves the role of creating the functional requirements necessary for developing software products and solutions that meet customer needs and exceptional quality standards.

Skills Required

Problem-solving & Analytical

  • Must be able to understand complex scenarios and large amounts of data and information.
  • Ability to realize the problem statement or requirements to a feasible software solution.

Communication

  • Should have strong communication skill when gathering and interpreting information and presenting results to customers and teams.
  • Accurately communicate requirement specifications to all stakeholders.

Critical-thinking Skills

  • To determine what strategy would work best for customers and the product, should analyze every possible scenario and think logically.

Detail-oriented

  • Have to focus on trivial detail to build a great understanding of the domain and its trends.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a complete documentation (current and up-to-date) of the product and all the product related functional specifications.
  • Ensure that the products meet the regulatory standards and customer expectations.
  • Conduct sales demos/workshops.
  • Work with delivery team, subject matter experts, account managers and customers to finalize the requirements and support presales process as necessary.
  • Identifying market opportunities and providing the leads to the account managers.
  • Organize or take part in seminars, presentations and sales negotiations for important or potential customers/partners.
  • Train newly joined team members.
  • Support the delivery team during development (consultancy, documentation and review)
  • Review User Manuals, produce user acceptance test cases
  • Continuously expand knowledge of our product line
