Xano Backend + API Engineer

Location: On-site – Koramangala, Bangalore, India

Estimated Compensation: ₹146,500 (for ~7 weeks) + Equity

ReadyOS is building the coordination layer for rental property turnovers. Our platform connects operators and vendors, automates compliance, and simplifies payments—turning a fragmented process into a scalable system. We’re a fast-moving early-stage startup with a focus on shipping, iteration, and smart automation.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer specializing in Xano and API development to join our small but growing team on-site in Koramangala . You’ll work directly with the founders and other early hires to design, build, and deliver features that make rental turnovers faster, safer, and more efficient.

• Design and implement the ReadyOS backend in Xano, including core data models, workflows, and API endpoints.
• Translate product requirements into a scalable database schema and business logic.
• Build backend workflows that bring the platform’s dispatch and compliance algorithms to life.
• Develop tools for insurance compliance , including document intake, validation logic, and standardized storage.
• Create and integrate invoicing and payment modules , including escrow workflows and third-party services (e.g., Stripe Connect, SendGrid, Twilio).
• Ensure secure, reliable, and performant backend architecture suitable for scale.
• Document APIs, workflows, and data models for smooth handoff to frontend developers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring reliability across the stack.

• Strong English proficiency, both written and spoken, for clear collaboration.
• Proven expertise with Xano (data modeling, business logic, APIs, scaling).
• Strong understanding of relational database design and API-first architecture .
• Experience integrating external APIs and third-party services (payments, compliance, identity, storage).
• Ability to translate algorithmic specifications into backend logic and workflows.
• Strong grasp of secure data handling and best practices for authentication/authorization.
• Experience collaborating with frontend developers to connect APIs and align workflows.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving requirements.

• Prior experience with compliance or insurance systems (document validation, regulatory workflows).
• Exposure to fintech or marketplace platforms.
• Knowledge of role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-tenant system design.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization in no-code/low-code stacks.
• Experience building MVPs that scaled into production.

• Primary structure: Contract-based, with base pay plus milestone bonuses (e.g., database schema, API modules, compliance tool integration) Payments are tied to milestone completion:

Weekly base: ₹12,000

Per milestone: ₹12,500 (×5 = ₹62,500)

• Bonus Equity option: For the right candidates, we are open to granting a small equity stake (up to 0.025% ~2,500 shares) as an on-time/quality bonus.
