We are looking to hire a Procurement Manager at our Gurgaon and Mumbai offices to strengthen our sourcing, vendor development, and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

As the Procurement Manager , you will oversee and manage all procurement activities related to packaging products, ensuring the right balance between cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Procurement of Packaging Products :
  • Lead the procurement efforts for Tertiary Packaging, Primary Packaging, and Secondary Packaging materials, ensuring timely availability while optimizing costs.
  • Vendor Development and Relationship Management :
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers. Ensure vendors meet quality standards and consistently deliver on time.
  • Technical Product Knowledge :
  • Leverage your technical expertise in packaging to select appropriate products and solutions across multiple categories and ensure they meet company and customer standards.
  • Costing and Negotiation :
  • Prepare and analyze cost structures and engage in aggressive negotiation to achieve the best pricing while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
  • Inventory and Stock Management :
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure smooth stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking. Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Use of Systems :
  • Manage procurement data using ERP systems or other procurement software, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of processes.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting :
  • Prepare and analyze regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings , and vendor performance. Strong proficiency in Excel and numbers is required.
  • Market Research and Trend Analysis :
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, pricing fluctuations , and new packaging technologies to ensure competitive advantage.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in a B2B company , preferably in packaging or related industries.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of multiple packaging categories (Tertiary, Primary, Secondary Packaging) is essential.
  • Strong costing and negotiation skills with a proven track record of driving cost savings.
  • Experience in vendor development and building long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems , ERP software, and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for numbers and data trends.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams.
  • Minimum educational qualification: Graduate . An Engineering Degree from IIP (Indian Institute of Packaging) or Printing Technology is preferred.
