Job Description :

  • The responsibilities of the Project Manager for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) ERP cover a range of activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Establish project milestones and dependencies.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, team members, executives, and end-users.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports on progress, issues, and risks.
  • Lead and motivate a cross-functional project team.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Allocate resources appropriately to meet project objectives.
  • Manage and optimize the use of available resources, including human resources, budget, and equipment.
  • Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively manage and address issues as they arise during the project.
  • Establish and implement quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements.
  • Oversee the customization and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Ensure that the system is tailored to meet specific business requirements.
  • Develop and implement change management processes.
  • Communicate changes to stakeholders and manage resistance to change.
  • Develop training programs for end-users and support staff.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements, design, and testing documentation.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables align with project goals.
  • Plan and oversee testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Validate that the system meets functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop and execute go-live plans.
  • Provide support during the transition to the live environment.
  • Monitor the performance of the ERP system post-implementation.
  • Address any performance issues and optimize system usage.
  • Manage the project budget, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Facilitate post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on project feedback.

Qualification and Experience :

  • Graduation in Engineering (any stream) from a premier institute. Postgraduate in management would be preferred.
  • Certification in Prince2, PMP, SAFE, or other project management tracks is considered an advantage.
  • Total of 8 to 12 years of experience with at least 4 end to end implementations in Dynamics 365 F&O / Dynamics Ax as a project manager.

  • Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Ability to create and manage project plans using project management tools.
  • Working knowledge of process documentation methodologies such as Event Driven process Chain (EPC), etc.
  • Should be familiar with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sure Step implementation methodology and be able to lead from the front during different implementation phases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and executives.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of technical aspects of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, including system architecture and integration points.
  • Familiarity with related technologies, such as Azure, SQL Server, and Power Platform.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to the D365 F&O implementation.
  • Proactive identification of potential risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of customization and configuration capabilities within D365 F&O.
  • Ability to guide the team in tailoring the ERP system to meet specific business requirements.
  • Leadership skills to guide and motivate project teams.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience managing diverse and cross-functional teams.
  • Implementing and overseeing quality assurance processes.
  • Ensuring that the delivered solution meets the specified requirements and quality standards.
  • Experience in change management processes.
