Role & responsibilities

The Process Engineer will be responsible for design, documentation, process planning, and execution of projects and production lines.

The role involves plant layout design, machine & tooling setup, CNC programming, and coordination with customers (TVSM & others) for RFQs and engineering changes. The engineer will also ensure compliance with QMS standards, effective documentation, and smooth production handover.

Design, Documentation & QMS

Develop and optimize plant layouts (site, foundry, paint shop, machine shop).

Prepare and maintain SOPs & control documents (WIS, APQP, PPAP, SPTR).

Oversee machine, fixture, and tooling installation, proving, and validation.

Handle Engineering Change Notes (ECN) and RFQs for TVSM & other customers.

Setup & Execution (Projects & Lines)

Develop and validate CNC Programs (VMC & HMC machines).

Support machine setup & tooling activities as a Setter.

Lead RFQ preparation, design feasibility, ECN execution, and Industrial Engineering activities.

Drive new line setup, project execution, and process improvements

Desired Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of Aluminum Casting / Machining Processes.

Expertise in CNC Programming (VMC/HMC) and tooling selection.

Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, and related QMS documentation.

Experience in line setup, plant layout, and industrial engineering.

Good understanding of customer requirements (TVSM & Tier-1 OEMs).

Problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experienced in Machining Process, designing process flow diagrams and preparing process documentation.
  • Skilled in preparing and reviewing PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).
  • Hands-on experience in process layout preparation and machine shop planning.
  • Knowledge of fixture design, development, and validation for machining operations.
  • Proficient in machining process planning and optimization for productivity and quality improvement.
