We are part of the Azure Networking team responsible for designing, building, and operating the most reliable cloud network in the world - Azure.We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services. For this position, the candidate should be familiar with network protocols, network devices including network interface cards, switches, and routers. You should feel comfortable working with large-scale distributed systems, in managing the network infrastructure that supports the Azure Cloud infrastructure as well as in designing and building the large-scale distributed systems that manage the network.We are looking for Network Engineers at all experience levels for Microsoft India development centre in Hyderabad.For more information about Azure Networking:

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)5+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation.OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical experience in network design, development, and automation.Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)8+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,OR related field AND 5+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,OR related field AND 3+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,OR related field.Required Skills:4-5+ years of experience in the networking Industry or large-scale data center network.Experience working with L2/L3 switching platforms, application networking and network protocols like BGP, OSPF, VRRP, LACP.Experience working in large scale data center/cloud environment with an understanding of passive components (UTP Cabling, Optical cabling).Experience in one or more programming languages: C++, Java, Python, Perl.Experience in understanding and authoring machine readable formats like XML, JSON.Excellent communication skills and team player with ability to build solid relationships at all levels, across teams, geographies, and business functions.Experience in solving broad business problems and analytical skills.Excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure when the situation is ambiguous.Strong negotiation skills and conflict management skills.Desired Skills:Networking certification will be a plus.#azurecorejobs #AzNetIDC

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for the implementation of new and upgraded data center network with standard platform on network/server technologies carried out in compliance with best practices.Handle project from design to implementation.Collaborate with internal business units and stakeholders and understand the requirements to deliver efficiently.Automate repetitive tasks to reduce implementation time and avoid failure due to human error.Participate in periodic on-call rotation for network incident support, quickly mitigate impact and restore service availability through a software enabled toolset.Evangelize best network engineering practices and processes within and across teams.When issues arise, you troubleshoot live site issues to discover and drive solutions with minimal or no disruption to customers. You also perform testing and validation of network devices, and demonstrate some knowledge of data. You know what data is needed and how to find new or missing data. You provide instructions to the data center on how to repair and maintain physical network hardware, and take notes during incidents.In addition, you participate in postmortem and root-cause analysis processes to continuously improve network reliability. You support innovation and cost management by developing new ideas for systems and tools that meet customer and/or business needs. You proactively share information across disciplines within your feature team in a timely manner with an appropriate level of detail that is tailored to your audience.
