About the Role: The Quality, Safety and Governance team provides leadership for corporate and quality and safety, assurance, and governance systems and processes, supporting all other clinical and operational areas within the Canberra Health Services Network to deliver exceptional health care. It includes Quality and Safety, National Standards and Accreditation, Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance, Medico Legal, Corporate Records, Strategic Communications, Clinical Incident Management, Policy and Strategy areas. The Director, Internal Audit and Compliance, is part of the broader Quality, Safety and Governance team, and reports to the Senior Director, Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance. The role helps to ensure the organisation is meeting its governance and compliance responsibilities. This position manages Canberra Health Services legislative compliance and delegations systems and processes and supports the Senior Director in their role of Head of Internal Audit in managing the Internal Audit program and supporting the Audit and Risk Management Committee.  For more information regarding the position duties click here for the Position Description.
