Azure Infrastructure Support Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team and provide advanced infrastructure support for a major global energy firm. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in Azure infrastructure management, automation through PowerShell scripting, and the ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment.

This position is aligned with late evening CST shifts and is best suited for professionals with enterprise-level experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with international clients, including Japanese stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities1. Azure Infrastructure Management

• Configure and maintain Azure Bastion Host, Virtual Machines (VMs), and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Ensure optimized performance, access control, and troubleshooting for AVD environments.
• Manage network peering between Virtual Networks (VNets) across subscriptions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to VMs, AVD, and networking.

2. Private Network & Connectivity

• Configure and manage Private Links, Endpoints, and Networks for services such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse Analytics, SQL Database, Azure Storage, and Databricks.
• Oversee subnet and VNet peering across subscriptions for secure, reliable connectivity.

3. PowerShell Scripting & Automation

• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, provisioning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Automate routine support tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues using script-driven solutions.

4. Deployment & Configuration

• Manage and configure Virtual Hard Disks (VHDs) for virtualized environments.
• Provide timely support for incidents and service requests, ensuring SLA compliance.

5. Security & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to global security and deployment policies.
• Apply best practices in identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and resource security.

6. Client Interaction & Communication

• Collaborate effectively with Japanese clients, ensuring cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
• Deliver regular technical updates, status reports, and guidance to stakeholders.

7. Structured Task & Incident Management

• Handle incidents, requests, and deployments in a process-driven, structured manner.
• Use Jira or Azure DevOps (task tracking only) for documenting tasks, resolutions, and closures.

8. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare detailed documentation for all deployments, configurations, and changes.
• Deliver closure reports to maintain transparency and accountability.

Qualifications & Requirements

Mandatory Certification:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
• Technical Skills:
• Proven expertise in Azure Bastion, VMs, AVD, VNets, Private Endpoints/Links.
• Hands-on experience with ADF, Synapse Analytics, SQL, Storage, and Databricks in private network setups.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of Azure networking and security fundamentals.

Professional Skills:

• Prior experience working in global enterprise environments.
• Strong task and incident management skills using Jira / Azure DevOps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience with Japanese clients is a strong advantage.
• Availability for late evening CST shifts is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹385, ₹1,547,381.84 per year
