Position: Vice Principal Location: Banyan Tree School, Lodhi Road, New Delhi Type: Full-time, On-campusOverviewBanyantree School is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice Principal to support the Principal in providing academic leadership, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment. The Vice Principal will play a vital role in driving the school’s vision of holistic education, academic rigor, and overall student well-being.Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic LeadershipOversee the effective implementation of the curriculum across all grades.Guide and mentor teachers to enhance instructional practices and pedagogyMonitor lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and classroom management.Ensure the quality of academic programs, assessments, and learning outcomes.Facilitate board classes and ensure high academic performance in CBSE examinations.School Operations & AdministrationSupport the Principal in managing day-to-day school operations.Oversee staff deployment, scheduling, and substitute arrangements.Ensure adherence to school policies, procedures, and compliance with CBSE guidelines.Coordinate with departments to streamline academic and co-curricular activities.Teacher Development & EvaluationConduct classroom observations, review Teacher’s Diaries, and provide constructive feedback.Organize professional development workshops, training sessions, and mentoring programs.Assist in recruitment, induction, and appraisal of teachers.Student Development & DisciplinePromote student discipline, attendance, and overall well-being.Collaborate with the Guidance and Learning Support Centre for student support needs.Encourage participation in sports, co-curricular activities, and inter-school competitions.Stakeholder EngagementBuild strong communication channels with parents, staff, and students.Represent the school in academic events, inspections, and external forums.Work closely with the Principal to implement school improvement initiatives.Qualifications & ExperiencePostgraduate degree with B. Ed. Minimum 10–12 years of teaching experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of CBSE curriculum and educational best practices.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Key CompetenciesVisionary leadership with a student-first approach.Ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate staff.Strategic planning and problem-solving skills.Strong decision-making with empathy and fairness.Commitment to holistic development and inclusivity.
