As part of the “360 insight powertrain and thermal domain team” you focus on generating insights by combining the data generated by several team (Technology center/costing & sustainability team, performance center, and market insights team) to deliver customers valuable and unique studies and support them in optimizing their products.

We are looking for someone specialized either in HV Battery Cell, HV Battery Packs or Electric Drive Unit.

TASKS & RESPONSABILITIESAnalysis and synthesize of the data generated by A2MAC1 (Costing, teardown, insights)Support customers in their cost/performance optimization programsIdentify right benchmarks from A2mac1 database and analysis in exchange with customers product to identify optimization potentialsGood understanding of data generated by virtual teams: know-how of cost & sustainability/performance/ technology and apply them in cost-down projectsSupport customers in decision making for their future product concept, and/or ChemistryContinuous support in identifying and implementing improvement potential in A2mac1 database and reportsRequirementsProfessional Background if Battery Cell ApplicationMinimum a Master of Science Degree in Chemistry, Material Science or

similar relevant fieldStrong understanding of electrochemical principles of lithium-ion

cells, familiar with current state of art and next generation

opportunities in batteriesKnowledge of Battery Cell manufacturing technologies3+ years industry experienced in battery cell design, materials, or

manufacturingFamiliar with cell cost structureExperience with discovering optimization point and recommendation of

alternatives to improve the design is a plusExperience in supplier negotiation is a plusProfessional Background if Electric Drive Unit ApplicationMinimum a Master of Science Degree in Electrical/Mechanical

Engineering or equivalent degree3+ yrs. e-drive unit design/modelling and optimization at OEMs or

tier 1sExperience with discovering optimization point and recommendation of

alternatives to improve the designKnowledge of electric machines working principles, motor control

algorithms, reducersFamiliar with design guideline for electric drive units for EVsFamiliar with E-drive cost structureFamiliar with E-drive production technologyExperience in supplier negotiation is a plusProfessional Background if HV Battery Packs ApplicationMinimum a Master of Science Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalentFamiliar with vehicle safety regulationKnowledge

of HV Battery pack, designs concepts, ideally Experience in HV battery

designFamiliar

in performing full vehicle crash simulations/ or thermal propagation
