What this job involves:

Expertise in content creation

This role will primarily involve creating content for business development/ marketing and communication materials, blogs, newsletters, B2B thought leadership articles, presentations, proposals, and customized collaterals. You should have an impeccable grasp of the English language and know how to keep a consistent tone of voice; ensure adherence to company style guides, including proficiency in both American and British writing styles.

Ensuring accuracy and consistency in quality

In a role to enhance quality in deliverables, your main responsibility will be to ensure error-free delivery of projects. This will need you to understand the creative brief for each project, review the collateral and ensure that they adhere to our brand and tone of voice. Also, conduct thorough research and stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of content.

Ownership of projects

The job will involve a high level of collaboration with different teams to ensure accuracy and consistency. But as you work closely with diverse capability teams, you’ll need to understand basic design principles and aesthetics so you can add value. Moreover, knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) will be useful for the job as we may ask you to prepare presentations. While collaborating with teams, you’ll take ownership of the assigned projects, ensuring quality.

Time management

The role demands working on multiple projects simultaneously. You will need to prioritize tasks, set realistic deadlines, and effectively manage your workload to ensure all projects are delivered on time. This may require the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and manage shifting deadlines.

Client-centric approach

You’ll direct all your efforts to meet clients’ expectations. For this, identifying stakeholders’ needs will be essential, as that will help you in ensuring that deliverables match the required standards to meet those needs. At the same time, it will be your job to ensure a fast turnaround time for projects to make them cost-effective for stakeholders. Your ability to handle high volume and tight deadlines efficiently, without compromising on quality, will take you far.

People skills

You must possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate a high level of willingness to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. This includes being able to interact with requesters, colleagues, and management in a professional and collaborative manner. It’s important be able to build rapport, establish trust, and effectively work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Strategic approach

The ideal candidate for this role must be a methodical thinker who is capable of creating content that aligns with specific project objectives while also supporting broader business goals.

Detail-oriented

This role requires an individual with excellent writing skills and a sharp eye for proofreading documents. Likewise, you should have a command over the language so you can communicate clearly with teams as well as all stakeholders. It would be best if you were keen to work against tight deadlines while ensuring regular reporting.

Relevant background

While a bachelor’s degree in communication or journalism is essential for the role, we would prefer if you also have a master’s in English literature, journalism, or marketing communications. On top of this, if you have 7-8 years of professional experience in journalism or/and have worked in large MNC organizations, then you may be the person we are looking for. It would be best if you were comfortable with technology and keen to learn to work on new tools.
