Job Profile Summary

The Tax Specialist works with Team Lead, Consultants and Mangers in India and US to manage data extraction project from the invoices, identify & enter sales tax information from invoices to an access or excel database. Format, perform a thorough review and reconcile the data with source data from the client.

Duties and Responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

Create a positive team experience

Review work done by Tax Associates and Senior Tax Associates.

Client :

Proactive work status update to US / India liaison Downloading & extracting invoices from client networks.

Value

Plan work allocation and manage projects on a day to day basis Identifying and entering Tax paid details form the invoices into a database Reconcile the values from different data sources Prepare reports as per the requirements from consultants Analyze data from invoices and submit a summary report Performs quality assurance as required Helps prepare documentation and assists training new hires.

Education and Experience:

Any bachelor’s degree 4-6 years of experience.

Skills:

To perform the job successfully, the candidate should have a intermediate understanding of Tax and accounting concepts and excellent analytical & problem solving abilities. High attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines and good communications is critical. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, Internet navigation and research is preferred. Ability to perform quality assurance review, prepare procedural documents and metrics as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Current work hours are 2.00 PM to 11.00 PM, IST. Shift change is anticipated depending on US work hours/time zone and business need. Candidate should be willing to work on any shift. A reasonable amount of overtime will be required during peak season. Standard indoor working environment. Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer. Position requires regular interaction with employees in India and US both via e-mail and telephone.
