Cloud Engineer III – Oracle DBA

Mandatory Skills :Oracle Primary/PostgreSQL secondary & MySQL skills and AZURE/AWS -Basic knowledge will work

Shift: Rotational, 24*7

Location : Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, this is a hybrid work opportunity.

About the role

  • We are seeking a Cloud Engineer III- Oracle DBA with , having All functions associated with maintenance of Oracle Server databases including security, back-up, reporting, and recovery procedures.

As a Cloud Engineer III- Oracle DBA, you will get to:

  • All functions associated with maintenance of Oracle Server databases including security, back-up, reporting, and recovery procedures.
  • Core Oracle DBA activities for Oracle 10G/11g/12c/19c & 23c including error Diagnosis and Handling of the same.
  • Create, Build, and up-gradation of Instances and databases.
  • Oracle database build using ASM on RAC/non-RAC.
  • Manage and troubleshoot the L3 tasks independently.
  • Performance tuning, Scripting knowledge.
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship.
  • Database security patch application.
  • Troubleshooting DB – Crash
  • Rebuild Database due to Incident.
  • Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases including rollout and upgrades.
  • Cross-training to support SQL in terms of maintenance of physical database structures and associated hardware, network, and system configurations.
  • Provides hands-on technical expertise, provides senior-level technical guidance to team members. Knowledge of SQL DB is preferable.
  • Provide day-to-day database management and support including overseeing and guiding team members.
  • Monitor the system’s health and performance.
  • Ensure high levels of performance , availability , sustainability , and security of databases.
  • Conducting regular testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze , solve , and correct issues in real-time.
  • Provide suggestions for solutions.
  • Automatic Tuning, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) & Point-in-Time Restore
  • Install , configure , troubleshoot , and maintain a database system.
  • Implement, maintain , and test disaster recovery strategies.
  • Implement, maintain , and test database backup and recovery strategies.
  • Manage the database capacity to ensure that it can meet the needs of the organization.
  • Lead the set-up , testing , and deployment of new databases, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Mentor junior DBAs on the team.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
  • Must have experience with Data guard, RMAN, Goldengate, Exadata

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer III- Oracle DBA with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
  • Strong command of Oracle and Oracle server tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery , and performance monitoring standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail .
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills .

Nice to Have

  • OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) certification.
  • Should have proficiency in Oracle Server (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c +..) Configuration and Administration.
  • Must have experience with Data guard, RMAN, Goldengate, Exadata
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving database-related issues.
  • Knowledge of SQL (Secondary).
