The successful candidate will be responsible for leading efforts involved implementation, and maintenance of information systems. This role involves management of key technological infrastructure including the server-based support and network implementation. Ensures operational efficiencies and stability, optimum system integrity, security, and performance of the organisation's operating system.
The role encompasses a variety of technical administration duties in the installation, deployment, maintenance and support of the organisation's operating system and associated software, hardware, and databases. This also include LAN, WAN, and help desk support.
2. Essential Functions
Building annual IT budget and ensure cost effective implementation
Creating and implementing the organizations IT policy and best practices
Identifying and recommending technologies for steering growth and streamlining processes
Develop innovative troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs
Work closely with other management members to determine growth needs and resource planning
Procurement and vendor management
Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
To ensure that the IT infrastructure support the needs of the business.
Install and maintain the network, systems, and peripherals as per approved specifications.
Establish and maintain a sound and foolproof security and backup system
Ensure security of data, email, network access and backup systems
Ensure uptime of the system and network infrastructure
Conducting routine evaluations/audits of network and data security and assess their outcomes
Effectively run a helpdesk operation to attend to user complaints.
Ensure safe custody of the companys software and hardware.
Strong knowledge of working on cloud platforms e.g., AWS and Azure
Maintain inventory of the companys systems, networking equipments, peripherals, printers, software, and other hardware components and equipment.
Responsible for creating and administering disaster plans
Prepare and maintain the necessary documents in accordance with QMS
Providing direction for IT team members and look for opportunities to train and build teamwork skills
Running routine system operations reports and sharing them with Management
Good hands-on experience on Remote support/ implementation and maintenance
Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows 10 / 11)
Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange systems (e.g., MS Exchange 2019, M365)
Knowledge of web server technology (e.g., Internet Information services)
Knowledge of database technology (e.g., SQL Server)
Ability to maintain server operating system (e.g., Windows 2016/ 2019)
