MaxLinear is seeking a Program Manager / Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on the following:Lead cross functional silicon engineering teams to successfully execute new product developments (NPD) from concept to production ramp through the formalized phase gate processes of the companyClosely monitor and clearly report on all key metrics for all programs under management to team members, engineering leads and managementWork proactively with leads and management teams to manage changes, identify/highlight/resolve issues and mitigate risk for the programEnsure standard templates and methods are in place to seamlessly create and track project and program level plansEnforce Silicon NPD processes and ensure quality of the deliverables for every phase of the programFacilitate engineering investigation of key technical issues with cross functional teamsFacilitate cross functional communication/conflict resolution, task prioritization/contingency, and key program decision makingInform management of project status and escalate risks/issues for the program in a timely fashionClose tracking of post silicon bugs found in characterization and facilitating the closure of each item towards production releaseSupport engineering leads in detailed scheduling of project tasks and dependencies to ensure phase gate milestones are met to support program goals.Prepare and track program budget.
Qualifications
Experience in project management within the semiconductor space is required
. This can be from within a program management office or from within silicon, technology or product engineering.Master communicator and organizer with excellent project management skills collaborating with cross functional teams in a global matrixed organization.Excellent project planning skills including the use of best in class project scheduling tools like MS Project, strong experience with Excel & PowerPoint and MS TeamsStrong understanding of IC development, silicon characterization/validation, embedded FW/SW development and system integration flowProven track record of successfully delivering semiconductor projects on time and within budget with global cross functional teamsStrong technical skills successfully blended with interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to see engineering bottlenecks, obstacles and inefficiencies to speed up time to market for programs under managementStrong experience utilizing phased gate NPD processes as well as experience with AgileExperience with analog/power devices is a plusDegree in Electrical Engineering preferredBS + 8 years of experience, or MS + 6 years of experience
