Role OverviewThis position will be part of our Ab Initio practice and the successful candidate must be able to efficiently communicate with internal teams as well as client personnel in order to deliver industry-leading solutions, detailed functional designs and complex environments throughout the entire lifecycle of the project, leveraging the latest Ab Initio technologies (3.5.x, Continuous Flows, ICFFs, Metadata-Hub, DQE, Express>It, Micrographs, Web Services, Query>It, Authorization Gateway, EME, etc.). Exposure to DevOps, automation, and experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a strong plus.

What’s the Role?The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining the environment(s) supporting the Ab Initio platformThe candidate will have to work with different teams (development, training, support) and have to ensure that ETL platform is up and available for development, educational, and support purposesHe / she will be involved in rolling out and proof of concept of new ETL productsHe / she should be able to work both independently as well as in a team settingHe / she should have excellent communication and troubleshooting skillsHe / she should be able to guide teams to find performance bottlenecks and differentiate between server vs code issue

Relevant Professional and Technical ExpertiseExperience in Co>operating system installation & administrationExperience in EME administrationKnowledge of DevOps best practices and proceduresKnowledge of tagging/branchingKnowledge of WLM (work load manager) and its configurationExperience in code promotion/versioning conceptsExposure to installation & configuration of Ab Initio 3.x product suite including Control Center, Express>It, Authorization Gateway & Metadata HubJob Scheduling concepts through Control CenterGood exposure to different UNIX flavors (LINUX, AIX, etc.)Knowledge of UNIX commands, shell scripting is a mustShould have exposure to UNIX performance monitoring commandsKnowledge of at least one RDBMS is a mustExperience in integrating various A>I Products to LDAP/Active DirectoryExperience in upgrading old A>I products to the latest version availableExperience in creating & maintaining Multi-File SystemExperience in configuring the bridge security file & authentication methodsExperience in configuring/setting up different UNIX drivers required to integrate Ab Initio (UnixODBC, iSeriesAccess, MSSQL, Oracle, Cassandra)Nice-to-Have Professional and Technical ExpertiseExperience in dealing with Cloud Installations of Ab Initio productsExposure to Python with regards to automation and maintenance of various Unix/Linux activitiesBasic networking concepts, OSI model/TCP-IP conceptsSource code management platforms such as Github/Gitlab, setting up pipelines for CI/CD setupExposure to JenkinsExposure to Unix/Linux configuration managementAb Initio configuration on HDFS (Hadoop File System)Exposure to Query>it, TDM, TFWExposure to Ab Initio license and KSH/SpecInt estimation & reportingKnowledge of job scheduling tool (Autosys/TWS/Control M)Knowledge of web application tool (Tomcat/WebSphere) is preferredExperience in clustered deployment of A>I productsKnowledge of UNIX storage concepts/file systems is preferredKnowledge of Ansible/Chef/Puppet automation of infrastructure setupKnowledge of system monitoring tools like Grafana and Telegraf is a plusKnowledge of setting Control Center database is a plus
