An exciting opportunity to work as the CEO. The current shelter manager

will be assistant to the new manager and will help ramp up the activities and staff relations.

The ideal candidate will manage the overall operations of the company as well as develop and implement strategies that meet the needs of the customers, the stakeholders, and the employees. They will be responsible for making key decisions and executing the culture of the company.

ResponsibilitiesTake lead across all aspects of the company by reviewing how departments work togetherMake key decisions that will affect the company's directionBuild a positive and productive culture in the workplaceEnsuring animals in the shelter have everything they needSupervising and leading shelter employeesDeveloping operational proceduresInteracting with donors and well wishersOrdering suppliesGiving tours of the shelterRepresenting the shelter at community and fundraising eventsCreating and maintaining budgetsPreparing reports and paperwork

QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceMBA5+ years' experience in business related fieldStrong leadership, decision making and communication skills

CEOs must oversee a budget and plan fundraising initiativesComfort with tech:

Since they will largely be concerned with administrative duties, animal CEO should have solid computer skills including familiarity with using popular record keeping and word processing programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management software)

People in this role must be able to handle chaotic environments and situations that could cause stress. The kennel area in a shelter is often loud with unpleasant odours, and the animals often come from disturbing situations in which they were harmed or neglected.
