Position Overview:
This role requires a strong background in product development within an agile framework, as well as technical expertise in Python and AWS. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide their team to success.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Python Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Python Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and implementation of Python-based applications and systems. You will provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the Python development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Python development, leadership experience, and a passion for driving innovation and excellence.
This position will be part of our Technology & Delivery organization. The individual will be reporting to a Tech Lead  in this position. This division takes care of our customer deliveries, working on client projects. This division is also responsible for product development, R&D, framework development, IP creation, and building products that can go global. You would also be working on a multi-region multitenant cloud-based SaaS product using cutting-edge technologies. 
Requirements
  • Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure IoT solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop Python-based software components for IoT applications, including data ingestion, processing, analysis, and visualization.
  • Integrate IoT devices, sensors, and gateways with backend systems and cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, data scientists, and project managers, to deliver end-to-end IoT solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, performance optimizations, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in Django and Python development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (X years) in Python development, with a focus on IoT or embedded systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
  • Experience with IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT.
  • Familiarity with IoT protocols and standards (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, OPC UA).
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), data modeling, and ORM frameworks.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified IoT Developer) are a plus.
