Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of our bakery products through effective implementation and management of the FSSC 22000 standards. The Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our quality assurance programs, overseeing the inspection and testing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to continuously improve our products and processes.


Responsibilities:

- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the bakery's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with FSSC 22000 standards.

- Ensure all bakery operations are conducted in compliance with relevant food safety regulations, standards, and guidelines.

- Oversee the monitoring and verification of critical control points within the production process to ensure adherence to food safety protocols.

- Conduct regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.

- Coordinate with external certification bodies for FSSC 22000 audits and maintain a strong relationship to ensure ongoing compliance.

- Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to establish quality specifications and standards for raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.

- Design and execute quality control procedures, including sensory evaluation, physical testing, and chemical analysis, to guarantee product quality and consistency.

- Lead investigations into product quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformance events, determining root causes and implementing preventive measures.

- Provide training to employees at all levels on food safety, quality standards, and best practices to cultivate a culture of quality consciousness.

- Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in food safety practices, integrating new knowledge into the company's quality programs.

- Develop and maintain accurate documentation of quality processes, procedures, and reports required for compliance and reporting purposes.


Qualifications:

- Masters degree in Food Technology or related field

- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Quality Manager or similar role in the food industry, preferably within a bakery setting.

- Strong working knowledge of FSSC 22000 standards and related food safety certifications.

- Experience in leading and facilitating audits by external certification bodies.

- Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies, statistical analysis, and root cause analysis.

- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Certification as a Food Safety Manager is preferred.

- Experience in managing teams and providing training and guidance.

- Proven experience in the bakery industry, with a solid track record of quality management

- Strong R&D skills for product development and enhancement

- Ability to oversee production processes effectively

- Proficiency in product costing and financial analysis

- Excellent communication and leadership skills
