Senior General Manager

This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day function of the Operations. This role is critical in ensuring that the organization's operational activities are aligned with its strategic goals and that they are performed efficiently and effectively. The role works closely with other senior leaders to drive performance, implement strategies, and ensure the company meets its objectives.
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities of the Role
Operational Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s business goals.
Lead long-term operational planning and ensure resources are allocated effectively to achieve strategic objectives.
Monitor industry trends and best practices to enhance operational processes.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations across all departments to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effective management of resources.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and ensure operational excellence.
Process Improvement and Efficiency:
Analyze existing SOP / workflows and processes to identify areas of improvement.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
Introduce and implement lean management principles to optimize resource utilization.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the organization.
Drive innovation to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Budget and Financial Management:
Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with financial goals.
Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or performance.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Identify potential risks in operational processes and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure all operations comply with legal regulations and industry standards.
Lead crisis management efforts when required.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and support professional growth.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of operational staff.
Build and mentor a high-performing operations team.
Ensure team alignment with organizational values and goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments, such as Finance, HR, and IT, to ensure seamless operational integration and support for company initiatives.
Facilitate communication and coordination between different teams to drive cohesive and unified efforts.
Customer Focus:
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products/services and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Address and resolve any operational issues that affect customer experience.
Technology Integration:
Oversee the implementation of new technologies and systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure that technological advancements are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and operational needs.
Reporting and Analytics:
Provide regular reports to senior management on operational performance, challenges, and achievements.
Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and strategy development.

Educational Qualification: MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with team members, senior management, customers, and other stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions, competition, and performance metrics, and to make data-driven decisions
Encompass a broad spectrum of capabilities, from strategic planning and financial management to process optimization and team leadership. Mastery of these skills enables the Head of Operations to drive efficiency, ensure quality, manage risks, and lead the organization toward achieving its strategic goals.
Technical Skills Required to execute the role:
'Proven experience in operations management, process improvement, or related fields.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a complex organizational environment.
Experience in project management and change management.
Knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and best practices in operations management.
Adapt to changing market conditions and demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges.
Build and maintain positive relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders within the zone
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
