Role Overview The Senior Technical Writer will craft high-quality, precise documentation based on provided information, enabling the organization to communicate its objectives, progress, and achievements clearly and effectively. This role is perfect for someone who shares a passion for the environment and wants to use their writing skills to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation:
Develop clear, accurate, and engaging documentation, including reports, project summaries, user manuals, and guidelines, based on provided data.
Translate technical and scientific concepts into accessible language for a range of audiences.
Editing & Proofreading:
Review and refine documentation to ensure it is error-free and adheres to organizational and industry standards.
Ensure all written materials align with the organization’s mission and environmental values.
Collaboration:
Work closely with environmental experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather input and ensure content accuracy.
Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical audiences.
Document Management:
Organize, update, and maintain a comprehensive library of technical documents.
Regularly revise materials to reflect the latest developments in sustainability and restoration efforts.
Environmental Advocacy:
Infuse a passion for environmental sustainability into all written materials, inspiring readers to engage with and support our mission.
Contribute ideas to improve communication strategies and amplify the impact of our messaging.
Qualifications Proven experience (5+ years) in technical writing or a similar role.
Education in English or relevant field
Strong commitment to environmental sustainability and passion for ecological restoration.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to convert technical and scientific information into user-friendly content.
Familiarity with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or other software.
Experience working in environmental, nonprofit, or sustainability-focused sectors is a plus.
