Role Description

This is a contract role for a Senior Calypso Analyst Developer at Emperen Technologies. The position involves day-to-day activities such as designing, developing, and implementing Calypso solutions. The role also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions. This position is based in Bengaluru, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing some work from home.

1. Domain Expertise (Finance + Trading Systems)

  • Must have
    hands-on experience in Calypso (NASDAQ Calypso software)
    – this is the core.
  • Strong understanding of
    financial products & trade lifecycle
    (front-to-back office processes, risk, settlements).
  • Ideally worked in
    capital markets / investment banking
    environments.

2. Technical Skills (Core Must-Haves)

  • Java programming
    (primary language for Calypso customization).
  • SQL & database management
    (for handling trade data, customizations, reports).
  • Experience in
    unit testing & automated regression testing
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Agile development methodologies
    .

3. Additional Good-to-Have Skills

  • Calypso certification
    (not mandatory but strong plus).
  • Knowledge of
    risk management systems
    or adjacent financial software.
  • Strong communication skills (since role involves interaction with users, business analysts, and global teams).
