QA Engineer II

We are looking for QA Engineer II to join our Engineering QA team in Bengaluru, reporting to the senior manager of Software Engineering. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge technology for DNS security products, exposure to Kubernetes & Cloud technologies, and be involved in test cases automation and test framework enhancement. What you’ll do:Develop maintainable test automation frameworks, tools, and automated test suites in response to the growing feature set and customer requirementsWork closely with software engineers, test engineers, and product managers from the beginning of the development cycle and be an integral part of the Agile Engineering teamWork in a fast-paced continuous integration and continuous delivery-based engineering environmentAssist in developing our Cloud strategy, and design new Cloud environments and architectureBuild Cloud infrastructure and automation frameworks for deploying, managing, and monitoring SaaS applications running on AWSAnticipate future technology needs and business requirements to drive new technological approaches and tools
What you’ll bring:Minimum 6+ years of overall experienceExperience with Python – Selenium and Requests Packages, boto3, Pytest, SSH protocol packages, and/or Kubernetes APIExperience in Agile/Scrum or full software development life cycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and defect fixingExperience in testing, including web-based UI applications, Restful services, AWS, and Docker appsManual testing with curl and PostmanKnowledge of Linux environments and general networking conceptsWork experience with Linux – ShellGood understanding of networking, including OSI model, DNS, OSPF, BGPD, etc.Work experience with Jira, GitHub, and JenkinsKnowledge of micro-services architecture and orchestrators such as Kubernetes is a plusWork experience with JMeter (performance testing) is a plusBachelor's degree in CS, CE or EE is requiredMasters in CS, CE or EE is preferred
What success looks like:
After six months ,
you will…Understand our product and the end-to-end application flowCollaborate with different teams to provide the required production support, deliver the business requirements, and bring stability to the applicationUnderstand our automation framework and contribute to improving it
After about a year, you will…Focus on identifying and addressing the root cause of defectsProactively address some of the issues in application with Automation or Re-use, which in turn would take care of re-occurring defects and will give you additional bandwidth to focus on more development activitiesRegister for training and certifications which would help you address application needs and benefit your career growth
