Job Title: Enterprise Architect – Java Microservices & Azure

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Java-based microservices architectures on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise application integration and cloud-native solutions, driving architectural excellence across projects. This role will be vital in transforming monolithic systems into modern, modular microservices that leverage Azure's managed services for optimal performance, scalability, and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architectural strategy for Java microservices-based applications deployed on Azure cloud platforms.
  • Define and enforce best practices and architectural standards for microservices, API design, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Design and implement enterprise application integration solutions using REST APIs, message brokers (e.g., Kafka, Azure Service Bus), and event-driven architectures.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to ensure smooth deployment and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Analyze business domains for microservices decomposition following domain-driven design (DDD) principles.
  • Utilize container orchestration and management technologies such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker.
  • Oversee the migration of existing monolithic applications to scalable microservices architecture ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Ensure robustness, scalability, and high availability of cloud-native Java applications leveraging Azure services like App Service, Cosmos DB, Mongo DB, and Azure Functions.
  • Mentor and guide software development teams in microservices, cloud technologies, and integration patterns.
  • Maintain architectural documentation and representative blueprints for cloud and enterprise integration solutions.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in enterprise architecture, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in designing and delivering enterprise-scale Java microservices architectures.
  • Strong expertise in Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms with a focus on Microsoft Azure, including AKS, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, Azure Functions, and Azure App Service.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise application integration techniques, including RESTful APIs, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Service Bus), and event-driven design.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Strong understanding of domain-driven design (DDD) and 12-factor app principles.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
