CMK Resources Resident Engineer – Kubernetes & Portworx (3 openings)Remote - IndiaHelp Shape the Future of Kubernetes StorageOur client's largest and most strategic customer is moving VMware-based workloads to Kube Virt on Open Shift. This is not a Dev Ops or automation-first role. This is about deep Linux/Kubernetes troubleshooting and hands-on operations.As a Resident Engineer, you’ll become a trusted technical advisor, embedding with the customer to deploy, manage, and support mission-critical storage environments on Kubernetes.What You’ll Do- Deploy and manage Portworx Enterprise across Kubernetes environments (Open Shift, Open Stack, AKS, etc.).- Lead troubleshooting efforts involving persistent volumes, storage integration, Linux systems, and cluster operations.- Collaborate with Portworx architects and Pure Storage experts to deliver optimized, secure, and scalable storage solutions.- Act as the primary technical contact for support escalations, RFEs, and performance issues.- Improve operational visibility using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.- Document procedures, runbooks, and issue resolution guides.Must-Have Skills- 7+ years in infrastructure/IT, including strong Linux administration and troubleshooting.- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or cloud).- Deep understanding of persistent storage in Kubernetes (PVCs, volumes, storage classes).- Any Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP) – particularly how Kubernetes interacts with cloud storage.- Experience with Open Shift or similar Kubernetes distributions.- Strong communication and documentation skills – you’ll be customer-facing.Nice-to-Haves- Certifications: CKA, CKS, Portworx Certified.- Experience with Flash Array, Azure Managed Disks, or blob storage.- Background in finance, research, or enterprise-scale environments.- CI/CD knowledge related to Kubernetes and storage automation.Benefits for you- Work on a flagship Portworx deployment supporting global-scale workloads.- Collaborate with top engineers and architects from Pure Storage.- Opportunity for extension or follow-on roles after the initial 12 months.- A chance to deeply influence the success of a high-impact client project.
