THE ROLE: We are seeking an engineer to join our team that will thrive in a fast-paced work environment, using effective communication, problem-solving and prioritization skills. Individuals that are well organized, show great attention to detail, and employ critical thinking are well-suited for our team. THE PERSON: This AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) team is looking for a senior level person that can help guide the team, mentor upcoming developers, provide long range strategy, and is willing to jump in to help resolve issues quickly. You will be involved in all areas that impact the team including performance, automation, and development. The right candidate will be informed on the latest trends and become prepared to give consultative direction to senior management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: A powerful desire to learn new skills and understand new features as they are added Proven record of accomplishment of working within and across groups. Excellent communication skills Responsible for exploring opportunities to improve product Work closely with other team members to understand design architecture and to propose solutions to improve and enhance solutions. Train and mentor engineers. Motivate team and encourage them to think creatively. Ability to work with minimal input and directions, drive initiatives and positive attitude. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Expert in architecture, design skills, design patterns and object-oriented programming. Extensive experience with C++ programming and knowledge on other languages like Perl, Python, JavaScript, etc. Ability to do research, gather information, interpret data, prepare design proposals, flowcharts and diagrams. Drive System Tools roadmap for the BU across various OS /pre-OS environments. Finding the best tech solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems. In-depth knowledge of the operating systems such as windows and Linux. Good understanding of x86 architecture, experience with STL, QT or any other GUI framework and CPU/GPU software domain. Well aware about many software Technologies/Solutions across industry. Knowledge of Pre-silicon and Post-silicon product life cycle will be added advantage Strong software and system debug experience. Experience in backend development and deployment. Knowledge of frontend development in React / Angular. Extensive knowledge of the software development process and its technologies. Lead software development projects - scoping, assigning tasks and creating a timeline for the project. .
