Senior Developer - PHP & WordPress Consultant

Location : Coimbatore

Experience : 4-8 Years

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer - PHP & WordPress Consultant with 4-8 years of experience to join our team in Coimbatore.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality WordPress websites, custom PHP applications, and integrating third-party solutions.

This role requires in-depth knowledge of PHP, WordPress, and related web development technologies, with a strong emphasis on optimization, security, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities :

WordPress Development :

- Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.

- Create responsive and user-friendly websites using WordPress CMS.

- Ensure optimal performance of WordPress websites through caching, database optimization, and other techniques.

- Handle WordPress security, including implementing best practices to secure websites from vulnerabilities.

PHP Development :

- Develop custom PHP applications and solutions for web-based projects.

- Integrate PHP applications with third-party APIs and services.

- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices.

- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues in both PHP and WordPress environments.

Database Management :

- Design, manage, and optimize MySQL databases to support dynamic websites and applications.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to handle large datasets efficiently.

- Ensure data integrity and perform regular database backups.

Front-End Development :

- Collaborate with designers and other developers to create responsive, visually appealing front-end interfaces.

- Utilize HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to enhance user experience and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

- Integrate and customize JavaScript frameworks like jQuery or React as required.

Project Management & Client Communication :

- Collaborate with clients to understand their project requirements and provide technical recommendations.

- Lead the development lifecycle, from project scoping and planning to implementation and delivery.

- Provide accurate time estimates for development tasks and deliver on schedule.

- Offer ongoing maintenance, updates, and support to ensure websites and applications run smoothly.

Testing & Debugging :

- Conduct thorough testing to ensure website functionality, performance, and security.

- Fix bugs and errors in a timely manner and provide detailed documentation of changes.


- Use version control (i.e., Git) to manage codebase efficiently.

SEO & Performance Optimization :

- Implement best practices for SEO to ensure high search engine rankings.

- Optimize websites for speed and performance, ensuring quick load times and minimal downtime.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred but not required).

- 4-8 years of hands-on experience with PHP and WordPress development.

- Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.

- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.

- Experience with version control systems like Git
