Job Description: Internal Auditor

Summary:The Internal Auditor is responsible for performing internal audits of client departments, evaluating internal control environments, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing actionable recommendations to improve operations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:1. Internal Audits:

Conduct audits to ensure departments adhere to policies and procedures.2. Control Evaluation:

Assess the design and effectiveness of internal controls.3. Operational Efficiency:

Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and compliance with relevant standards.4. Issue Resolution:

Identify root causes of issues and recommend solutions.5. Audit Reporting:

Draft reports detailing audit findings, root causes, recommendations, and management responses.6. Corrective Action Tracking:

Monitor corrective action plans to ensure timely remediation of issues.7. Risk-Based Projects:

Complete risk-based audit projects, including reviews of laws, HUD, GSE & Federal Agency requirements, and special management-requested reviews.

Qualifications:- Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred.- Experience:

2-4 years of internal audit experience; mortgage servicing experience preferred.

- Skills- Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio).- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.- Attention to detail and ability to spot deviations and anomalies.- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.- Ability to take ownership and initiative on tasks.

Success Metrics:- Timely Completion:

Completion of assigned reviews within deadlines.- Compliance : Increased compliance with laws and regulations.- Operational Improvement:

Enhanced efficiency and effectiveness of the operational environment.- Control Validation : Assurance that the control environment is appropriately designed and functioning.
