For this position, the candidate should be familiar with network protocols, network devices including network interface cards, switches, and routers. Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation.OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical experience in network design, development, and automation. 4+ years of experience in the networking Industry or large-scale data center network. 1+ years experience working with L2/L3 switching platforms, application networking and network protocols like BGP, ISIS, MPLS, OSPF, VRRP, LACP, Traffic EngineeringKnowledge of Datacenter Design (Control plane & Data Plane) & Operations 1+ years experience working in large scale data center/cloud environment with an understanding of passive components (UTP Cabling, Optical cabling). 1+ years experience in one or more programming languages: C++, Java, Python, Perl. Other Qualifications: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Additional or Preferred Qualifications: 8+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,OR related field AND 5+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,OR related field AND 3+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automationOR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology,OR related field. 1+ years experience in understanding and authoring machine readable formats like XML, JSON. Excellent communication skills and team player with ability to build solid relationships at all levels, across teams, geographies, and business functions. Excellent judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure when the situation is ambiguous. Proficient negotiation skills and conflict management skills.
