Product Manager Staff – Job Description

The role requires an energetic “out of the box” thinker with a successful track record of solving problems through strategic thinking, data analytics, attention to detail & a hands-on collaborative approach. The individual must be comfortable in influencing, driving, and collaborating with multiple internal and external teams beyond product management - including senior executives, sales leaders, finance, marketing, customers, and partners. We are looking for a self-starter, quick learner and someone who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and push for growth and innovation.

This role is predominantly for software technology planning and driving execution and delivery, including capturing and prioritizing software technologies and customer requirements, defining the software technology vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure customer goals are met.

Responsibilities:

Gather customer insights and feedback and feed the data back to the organization

Define business goals, strategy, positioning and dependencies for the product

Drive alignment across sales, product management, engineering and product marketing functions to deliver solutions for the customer

Design and lead a multi-year roadmap, building short and long- term goals and work with Engineering towards execution

- Own strategic customer engagement program to strengthen executive level relationships and develop new business opportunities- Continuously develop market intelligence including industry and technology trends, forecasts, competitive analysis, customer insights and their strategic implications for our business- Work with the product operations on the product processes

Requirements:

- 12+ years of experience in Product Management or related technical/product roles- At least 7 years of experience in the networking/wireless/telecommunications industry

Strong technical skills in routing protocols, LAN, WAN, Security concepts, as well as virtualization, containerization and cloud concepts

In depth understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, IS-IS), MPLS protocols (L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS, LDP, TE), Segment Routing (SR-MPLS, TI-LFA, EVPN) and good understanding of SR use cases.

- Experience in Go-to-Market related activities- Sharp presentation & communication skills for executive engagements; Strong influencer skills- Be a true self-starter, takes ownership as well as collaborates effectively across teams (Sales, PLM, Marketing)- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
