3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, the Senior Manager CSR Fundraising (SMCSRF) will play a key role in expanding WAIs Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnerships and driving long-term, sustainable fundraising growth. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of securing significant funding from corporate sources and a strong understanding of CSR regulations and practices in India, including Section 135 of the Companies Act.

Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Developing and implementing a comprehensive CSR fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives;
(2) Identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with potential and existing corporate partners in India;
(3) Creating compelling proposals, presentations, and reports to secure funding through CSR initiatives;
(4) Leading negotiations and finalizing agreements with corporate partners, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes;
(5) Staying abreast of CSR trends, regulations, and best practices in India, and leveraging this knowledge to enhance fundraising efforts;
(6) Collaborating with internal teams (programs, finance, and communications) to design and implement impactful CSR projects and initiatives;
(7) Overseeing the management of CSR partnerships, ensuring timely reporting, compliance, and effective communication;
(8) Monitoring and analyzing fundraising performance, tracking key metrics, and providing regular updates to senior management;
(9) Representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand CSR outreach;
(10) Mentoring and guiding junior fundraising team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification and Experience:
(1) Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, non-profit management, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred;

(2) Minimum of eight to 10 years of experience in CSR fundraising, corporate partnerships, or business development in the non-profit sector in India;

(3) Proven track record of successfully securing significant funding from corporate sources.

Skills and Competencies:

(1) Strong understanding of CSR regulations and practices in India, including Section 135 of the Companies Act;
(2) Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners;
(3) Demonstrated experience in developing and managing budgets, tracking metrics, and reporting on fundraising performance;
(4) Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
(5) Proficiency in CRM software and other fundraising tools;
(6) Fluency in English and Hindi is required; knowledge of other regional languages is an asset.

5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive and in alignment with salaries paid by leading I/NGOs for similar roles. This is a full-time role. Offers shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
