Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Associate to support our mission of delivering accurate and up-to-date supplier information while assisting in customer and platform-focused initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for research, data management, and collaboration across teams.


Key Responsibilities:


Supplier Research:

  • Conduct in-depth research on Indian suppliers across various industries.
  • Verify and update supplier information to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Platform Management:

  • Maintain and update supplier data on the India Index platform.
  • Collaborate with the product team to enhance platform usability and functionality.

Customer Campaign Development:

  • Work closely with the sales team to create targeted customer campaigns using our custom tool.
  • Assist in adding and supplementing details and data of Indian suppliers and U.S buyers.

Sales Team Support:

  • Assist the sales team by addressing customer inquiries and providing timely, accurate supplier data.

Data Management:

  • Perform data entry, manipulation and organisation tasks with a high level of accuracy.
  • Utilize Excel and/or suitable tools to analyze, organize, and present data effectively.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with teams across the organization to align data-related efforts with company objectives.


BONUS Skills ----

  • Experience in data science or programming (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, data visualization tools).
  • Prior experience in supply chain management or a related field.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data management tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
