At our Telecom Grade FRP & ARP Rods' business, we manufacture Fibre Reinforced Plastic Rods and Aramid Reinforced Rods for optical fibre cables, using the latest UV lights Curing Pultrusion Technology, Thermal Process Technology, and fully automated production lines, in Silvassa with 2 million km per annum production capacity and an opportunity to increase our capacity many folds in next two years.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Runaya is looking to hire a head for commercial function who can manage procurement process for goods and services, while achieving statutory compliance, cost-efficiency, supply reliability, high-quality standards and strong supplier relationships. The following will be the key KPIs:
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including ethical sourcing and sustainability practices.
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
Manage the procurement process from requisition through to order fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Negotiate contracts and agreements related to Operations & Maintenance, Projects, Supply Chain, Consumables, etc. with Business partners to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs and ensure that procurement activities meet their requirements.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across the supply chain.
Implement strategies to optimize the spend base and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.
Manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
The Successful Candidate:
Any graduation degree or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification like CIPS or CPM preferred).
Atleast 7 years of experience direct procurement (not indirect procurement) or supply chain management, with a proven track record of successful contract negotiations and supplier management
Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, and supply chain management principles.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under ambiguity and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Experience in managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
