Supports the Managed Services Networking business strategy by developing, implementing, enabling and then owning the AI and automation product strategy within the portfolio. They will use their market focus and expertise, along with a sound technical understanding of software engineering and architecture, as well as strong background in machine learning / AI and data science, to ensure the AI and automation strategy within the Managed Network Services portfolio is aligned and enabling the global product strategy. The goal here is to ensuring the Managed Service offers built on top of the foundational AI and automation elements are market leading, sustainable, compelling and competitive within the markets they have been designed to serve.

Own and drive product strategy

Senior Directors of Service Offer Management are senior people within the company. Service Offer Managers conduct continuous research to grow their market knowledge and develop market insights. They apply this knowledge when formulating robust global product strategies for Service Offers in their portfolios, ensuring the continued relevance of the Service Offer, and ensuring the offer is market relevant, competitive, and lands in all required geographies.

Identify and quantify AI and Automation opportunities to enhance the Managed Service Portfolio

As part of owning and driving product strategy for the Service Offers in the Managed Network & Security portfolio, the Senior Director, Service Offer Management, AI & Automation acts as the market expert within the company in this space. Using a solid hands on software engineering technical base, combined with experience working across business and technical stakeholders, the Service Offer Manager identifies, prioritizes, defines and drives the AI and Automation product vision across the globe. This can include development of new Service Offers, as well as enhancements to existing offers.

Product / Offer lifecycle management and monitoring

The Senior Director, Service Offer Management, AI & Automation is responsible for the lifecycle of their offer portfolio, including defining and curating a backlog of enhancements in alignment with client requirements, changing market conditions and NTT group strategy, as well as the retirement of features or entire offers.

For in-life offers, the Service Offer Manager works closely with Sales and Product Marketing colleagues to track opportunity pipelines for the Service Offers, ensuring offers are aligned with client requirements and market expectations. Working with others within Service Offer Management and within Go-To-Market functions in our regions, they develop and implement a global and regional go-to-market plan and strategy, assisting internal stakeholders to understand the offer positioning, key benefits and target clients. They conduct post-launch assessments and track customer satisfaction, feeding this information into the offer backlog. The Senior Director, Service Offer Management, AI & Automation conducts win-loss reviews based on sales opportunities and analyses the offer profit and loss over the short, medium and long term. Based on findings analysis, evaluation and audits, the Director, Service Offer Management, Networking & Security works with all areas of the business to improve, refine and continuously enhance the offer.

AIOps Product Strategy

Advanced AI technology drives the way our Managed Services platforms operate. The Service Offer Manager, Networking & Security plays a key role bridging the AI platform strategy and roadmap with our go-to-market focus. They capture requirements from customers and from our operations team, work closely with our AIOps and Data Scientist community to outline these requirements, and then work closely with marketing and the other Service Offer Managers in the team to articulate the benefits and value these enhanced AI features will bring to clients. They also act as an evangelist for the Managed Networks & Security portfolio, and the underpinning AIOps platform strategy with key customers, internal teams, analysts and vendor partners.

Sales Force Support

The Senior Director, Service Offer Management, AI & Automation, in their role as a leading expert in Managed Network Services as well as AI and Automation, will be required to liaise closely with regional and country sales teams and prospective clients to advocate the benefits of the services NTT provides. This is particularly important for new Service Offerings, as the early learning identified through selling to and closing anchor tenants is key to enhancing and improving the offering as it is released.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Possess a strong knowledge of AI and automation technologies, the AI market segments and trends, and how these technologies can be applied in a services business.

Develop, own and lead global Service Offer strategies and cascade the global product and service offer strategy into the regions and business divisions, and to the relevant local stakeholders.

Analyse current market trends, conduct market research and specify market requirements for current and future products.

Source or develop concepts for new AI based Service Offers to investigate and identify enhancement concepts for existing products.

Determine the feasibility of the concept for development and define and develop the Service Offer specifications.

Take responsibility for the definition, monitoring and management of the lifecycle roadmap for each AI and automation-based Service Offers in the portfolio.

Vet the suitability of vendors and partners, alliances and suppliers.

Develop and deliver offer training and communication to client facing staff and relevant internal stakeholders.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions

Research, define and design, with the support of our data science team, a scalable data analytics vision and machine learning solutions capability and roadmap to challenge complex business issues

Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

Take ideas to successful launch by leading and mentoring diverse, geo-distributed teams through innovation, bootstrapping, pilot, production, scaling, and maintenance phases with multiple stakeholders to the highest levels of quality and performance

Work closely with our OEM partners to shape their portfolios and roadmaps so that NTT’s Managaed Services can better leverage our AI and automation portfolio on top of their technology

Apply industry standards best practices to development activities

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

Subject matter expertise in data modelling

Theoretical understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques

Strong desire to acquire more knowledge in order to keep up to speed with the ever-evolving field of data science

A natural curiosity and aptitude to sift through data to find patterns and derive insights

An ability to translate data science principles into business requirements for business stakeholders.

A good understanding of the vast range of IT operations and NTT service offerings

Knowledge and understanding of Managed Services markets and networking technologies, including market trends and technological advancements

Excellent project management skills

Strong relationship management and demonstrated collaborative skills in working with internal and external business leaders and stakeholders

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) coupled with good questioning skills

A strong leader - assertive in approach coupled with confidence in area of expertise and the ability to facilitate business conversations

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree level or equivalent work experience

Required Experience:

Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc

Demonstratable experience in data modelling

Demonstratable experience in applying statistical methods and machine learning techniques to solve business problems

Demonstrable experience working as a product manager or service offer manager for a technology or software vendor, or comparable managed services provider.
