Phonon is a dynamic technology company at the forefront of communication and customer interaction solutions. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Product Manager to lead the business success and P&L account for our various products in the company, which include:

  1. Our Real-time and Notification product suite for the BFSI and Travel & Aviation sectors.
  2. Our connected devices / mobile app / embedded system suite of services.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Product Strategy and Revenue Growth:

  •  Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the product suite, focusing on voice robocalls, speech applications, SMS, WhatsApp, Google RBM/Wallet and Embedded Software Systems.
  •  Drive product revenue, growth, and market adaptation.


2. Product Roadmap & Performance:

  • Develop the product vision, roadmap and groom individual stories for delivery based on an amazing understanding of the market, competitive scenario and customer demand.
  • Oversee product performance through business KPIs and dashboards for our customers.
  • Provide measurable results and value based product delivery to customers using our products.


3. P&L Management:

  • Own and manage the P&L account for the Notifications product suite.
  • Maximize margins and create a competitive moat for the product.


4. Collaboration with Engineering Teams:

  •  Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering Leads for Product Features Delivery, System Scalability, 3rd Party integrations, and Telecom Integrations.
  •  Ensure seamless coordination for product development and enhancements.


5. Content Generation and Customer Onboarding:

  • Work with the product and sales support team responsible for generating content for easier customer onboarding and self-service training.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure Pre-Sales and Key Accounts teams are well-equipped for effective product selling and customer onboarding.


7. Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy:

  • Design and execute a robust GTM strategy for the Notifications product suite.
  • Drive lead generation and conversion efforts, including customer onboarding.


8. Internationalization & Regulatory Compliance:

  •  Explore opportunities for internationalizing the product and adapting it to diverse markets.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance of the product.


Candidate Profile:


1. Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • An MBA from a top-tier college or a CA with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent working skills on product prototyping, figma, prioritising and business modelling using Google Apps script, Excel etc.


2. Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in product management, with a focus on communication and notification solutions.


3. Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with communication technologies, including voice, SMS, WhatsApp, and Google RBM/Wallet.
  • Familiarity with embedded system design, mobile applications.


4. Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail oriented and analytical skills.


5. Results-Driven:

  • Track record of achieving revenue targets and driving product growth.
