Position Overview We’re looking for a People & Talent Lead to take ownership of both global hiring and people operations as Thryve continues to scale. Over the past year, we’ve built the foundations of our HR and recruitment systems - now we need someone to refine, strengthen, and run them at scale. This is a hands-on role: you’ll be closing critical hires across geographies, keeping our people processes running smoothly, and helping shape a culture where a global, mission-driven team can thrive. If you enjoy balancing execution with strategy , and like the idea of building in a fast-moving, climate-tech space - this role is for you. ???? Responsibilities Recruitment Own end-to-end hiring across global markets (exposure to Southeast Asia, and South Asian markets is a must, and niche Global talent pools in the ecology, forestry, biodiversity, agriculture, domains). Work with hiring managers to shape role requirements, write compelling JDs, and plan pipelines. Build sourcing strategies (market mapping, platforms, referrals, partnerships) to attract niche talent in nature (science, carbon), project development and implementation, carbon markets, and business roles. Manage structured interview processes, ensuring fairness, speed, and a great candidate experience. Track recruitment data (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, conversion rates) to improve efficiency. Proactively build pipelines for future hiring needs to reduce time-to-hire. HR & People Operations Oversee contracts, payroll, and compliance for global hires. Maintain and update HR policies, keeping them practical and aligned with our stage. Handle onboarding and offboarding with a focus on employee experience. Partner with the finance team to ensure compensation structures remain fair, motivating, and consistent. Culture, Engagement & Development Reinforce Thryve’s cultural values through everyday practices and rituals. Run engagement touchpoints (all-hands, check-ins, feedback cycles). Support performance reflections and reviews for ICs and leads. Provide simple frameworks for managers to give feedback and grow their teams. ???? Qualifications Essential 5–7 years of HR and recruitment experience with exposure to both hiring and operations. Experience hiring in early-stage environments, building scalable models, and adapting to hyper local needs (e.g. project sites etc.). Experience in hiring for broad range of roles (any industry specific hiring - including technical roles - software development and operations.) Strong knowledge of contracts, compliance, and payroll in India; familiarity with global employment models a plus. Track record of closing niche or global roles across functions. Independent, driving to closure, energized by fast pace environments ; Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Preferred Experience scaling HR systems and processes as a company grows. Prior work in sustainability, climate, nature, or other impact-driven sectors. Experience managing teams or mentoring junior HR professionals. Comfort working with diverse, globally distributed teams across time zones. ????
