As the Manager of Sourcing, you will be responsible for growing our supply base in hyperlocal clusters.
Your Impactful Role:
The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for generating strong leads of home experts through strategic on-ground activities such as pamphlet distribution and other direct engagement efforts. This role demands a proactive individual with a knack for on-ground hustle and rigor. The ideal candidate will be experienced in recruiting promoters, managing a team, and consistently achieving weekly and monthly lead generation targets that convert into onboarded home experts, thereby strengthening our supply base.
Strategy Development
Develop and implement on-ground sourcing strategies to drive high-quality lead generation for home experts.
Identify and evaluate new opportunities for lead generation through direct engagement activities.
Collaborate with the supply team to ensure sourcing strategies align with overall supply objectives.
Execution of On-Ground Activities
Plan and execute on-ground sourcing programs such as pamphlet distribution, street promotions, and community events.
Coordinate with local authorities, societies, and other relevant stakeholders to secure permissions and ensure smooth execution of activities.
Manage logistics, staffing, and other operational aspects of on-ground activities.
Lead Generation
Organize and oversee on-ground activities aimed at generating leads of home experts.
Ensure effective distribution of promotional materials and track their impact on lead generation.
Track and analyze the performance of on-ground activities to optimize future efforts.
Networking and Relationship Management
Build and maintain a strong network of local influencers, community leaders, and other key stakeholders to support lead generation efforts.
Establish partnerships with local businesses, societies, and event organizers to amplify sourcing efforts.
Act as the primary point of contact for on-ground lead generation initiatives.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of promoters and field staff.
Provide training and guidance to ensure high performance and effective execution of sourcing plans.
Target Management
Set and manage weekly and monthly lead generation targets for the team.
Ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds targets in terms of high-quality lead conversion.
Reporting and Analysis
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on the effectiveness of on-ground activities.
Use data and insights to refine strategies and improve future campaigns.
Budget Management
Develop and manage budgets for on-ground activities, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Monitor expenses and report on the financial performance of sourcing activities.
What we’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, with a focus on lead generation through on-ground activities.
Proven track record of successful on-ground campaigns and lead generation.
Strong network and relationships with local influencers, community leaders, and stakeholders.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
Knowledge of local market dynamics and consumer behavior.
