Overview:

Borneo is seeking a experienced, and hands-on Staff UI Engineer to drive innovation and contribute to our mission of transforming data security and privacy. As a Staff UI Engineer at Borneo, you will play a crucial role in shaping the frontend architecture and design of the platform. Your expertise in frontend technologies will drive the development of user-friendly and high-performance interfaces.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications for a data discovery and compliance automation platform.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product, technical requirements, UX designs and technical architecture.- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces.Ensure that user experience is at the forefront of frontend development.- Build and maintain APIs, ensuring they are well-documented and adhere to industry standards.- Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of backend components.- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in web applications, employing optimization techniques for improved user experience.

Required Experience:

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field- Proven track record of software development, with experience (10+ years) in a hands-on coding role.- Strong frontend development skills, including proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript.- Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular) and state management libraries (e.g. NgRx).- Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and best practices- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.- Familiarity with database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB)- Solid understanding of software design patterns, best practices, and coding standards.

Preferred Experiences:

- Experience in a product startup is highly preferred.- Working knowledge of Temporal for workflow management and orchestration.- Preferred experience in Node.js, Express.js, and working with RESTful APIs.- Experience in development of multi-cloud distributed SaaS.
