Overview:

Borneo is seeking a experienced, and hands-on Staff UI Engineer to drive innovation and contribute to our mission of transforming data security and privacy. As a Staff UI Engineer at Borneo, you will play a crucial role in shaping the frontend architecture and design of the platform. Your expertise in frontend technologies will drive the development of user-friendly and high-performance interfaces.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications for a data discovery and compliance automation platform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product, technical requirements, UX designs and technical architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces.Ensure that user experience is at the forefront of frontend development.
  • Build and maintain APIs, ensuring they are well-documented and adhere to industry standards.
  • Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of backend components.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in web applications, employing optimization techniques for improved user experience.


Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven track record of software development, with experience (10+ years) in a hands-on coding role.
  • Strong frontend development skills, including proficiency in Typescript and JavaScript.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular) and state management libraries (e.g. NgRx).
  • Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Familiarity with database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns, best practices, and coding standards.


Preferred Experiences:

  • Experience in a product startup is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Temporal for workflow management and orchestration.
  • Preferred experience in Node.js, Express.js, and working with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in development of multi-cloud distributed SaaS.
