Salary Range: 7 - 9 LPA
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and drive government sector sales for our institutional business. The role involves managing accounts, securing project approvals, handling tenders, and building strong relationships with government departments, PSUs, utilities, and EPC contractors. The ideal candidate should have proven expertise in government sales and institutional project handling, with a strong network in the public sector ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Government Sales Target Achievement
Achieve sales and collection targets from government departments and PSUs.
- Track and convert government tenders and rate contracts.
- Approve pricing within delegated authority.
Recommend participation in tenders and rate contracts.
Project Tracking & Execution Support
Track ongoing and upcoming government projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams for timely delivery and execution.
- Prioritize project-based orders.
Escalate supply chain issues affecting project timelines.
Institutional Client Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government bodies, utilities, and EPC contractors.
- Ensure brand preference and product approvals.
- Represent the company in client meetings and technical discussions.
Escalate high-value opportunities to leadership.
Brand Promotion in Government Sector
Conduct product presentations, technical seminars, and awareness programs for government stakeholders.
- Participate in government exhibitions and trade shows.
- Coordinate with marketing teams for promotional materials.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 5-10 years in government / institutional sales within building materials, interiors, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, tenders, and rate contracts.
- Existing connects with government departments, PSUs, and EPC contractors.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in government verticals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
