POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – PCB Testing to lead and oversee our PCB testing and inspection operations. This role will manage a team of skilled engineers and ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of our power electronics products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PCBA testing, inspection techniques, and hands-on expertise with power electronic components such as IGBT, MOSFET, rectifiers, inverters, VFDs, and other critical equipment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead PCB Testing Operations:

  • Oversee PCB testing processes, including functional testing, in-circuit testing, and environmental testing, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Manage and improve testing protocols for various PCBA applications, focusing on reliability, efficiency, and precision.


Team Management

  • Direct and mentor a team of engineers, assigning tasks, reviewing performance, and promoting skill development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the testing team.


Technical Expertise in Power Electronics

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of power electronics components (IGBT, MOSFET, rectifiers, inverters, VFDs, etc.) to optimize testing strategies and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Provide guidance on failure analysis and corrective actions related to power electronic components.


PCB Inspection and Quality Assurance

  • Lead PCB inspection processes, including visual, automated optical inspection (AOI), and X-ray techniques to identify defects and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Develop and implement best practices for quality control in PCB and PCBA inspection.


Process Optimization and Documentation

  • Drive continuous improvement in testing and inspection methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test plans, results, and inspection reports for internal and client use.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to align testing practices with product requirements.
  • Work with external vendors and clients to address any testing-related queries or issues.


Required Qualifications

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  2. Experience: 8+ years in PCB/PCBA testing and inspection, with at least 3 years in a managerial or team lead role. Strong knowledge of power electronic components, including IGBT, MOSFET, rectifiers, inverters, and VFDs. Experience with testing standards and protocols for PCBA, including ESD and safety compliance.


Preferred Skills:

  1. Hands-on experience with thermal management and high-power component testing.
  2. Familiarity with quality management systems and failure analysis techniques.
  3. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to innovation and process improvement.
