We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in containerization, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), configuration management, infrastructure as code (IaC), and environment support. This role will also involve working with monitoring tools, coding/scripting, and managing both Linux and Windows operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Containerization:
  • Design, implement, and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot container orchestration systems to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • CI/CD Tools:
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Codefresh, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Gitlab.
  • Ensure seamless integration and delivery of software changes across various environments.
  • Configuration Management:
  • Implement and manage configuration management solutions using Ansible.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and enforce configuration consistency across environments.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  • Define and provision infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Maintain and version control IaC scripts to ensure reproducibility and transparency.
  • Environment Support:
  • Oversee certificate management, ensuring secure communication channels.
  • Manage patching processes and vulnerability management to maintain system security and compliance.
  • Monitoring Tools:
  • Implement and configure monitoring solutions such as Splunk, New Relic, or equivalent.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Coding/Scripting:
  • Write and maintain scripts using Shell/Bash and YAML for automation and configuration purposes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize code and scripting practices.
  • Operating System Management:
  • Manage and troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Ensure systems are up-to-date, secure, and performing optimally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Codefresh, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Gitlab.
  • Expertise in configuration management with Ansible.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Experience in environment support, including certificate management, patch management, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic, or equivalent.
  • Solid scripting skills in Shell/Bash and YAML.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
