Youwill be responsible for implementing and managing release processesfor code through
developmenttest and production environments. The Release Manager Job functionworks
collaborativelywith all participants in software development projects and issupportive ofdevelopers
andtesters as they set up their build dev/test environments.
Rolesand Responsibilities
Building theRelease Calendar in working closely with Developers and ScrumTeam
Forward Plan therelease windows and cycles acrossPrivate Cloudportfolio
Conduct ReleaseReadiness reviews Milestone Reviews and Business Go/NoGoreviews
ProduceDeployment Run Books and ImplementationPlan
Manage risks andresolves issues that affect release scope schedule andquality
Measure andmonitor progress to ensuresolutionreleases are delivered on time and thatthey
meetor exceed expectations
Coordinaterelease content and effort based on the service requestbacklog
Communicate allkeyreleaseplans commitments and changes including requirementsQA
plansschedule and scope changes
Managerelationships and coordinate work between different teams atdifferent locations
MonthlyRelease Reporting
Communicaterelease details and schedules to the Business asrequired
Negotiate planand manage all releaseactivities
Work with releaseengineers to understand impacts of branches and codemerges
Maintains therelease schedule for all core services and ensure alignment acrosskey partners
andvendors.
Continually worktowards making improvements in the releaseprocess
Lead andcoordinate the GoLive activities including the execution of thedeployment Plansand
checklists.
Develops scriptsand automation tools used to build integrate and deploy softwarereleases to
variousplatforms
Participate inCAB meetings to discuss release scope and/orroadblocks
Maintains arelease repository and manages key information such as build andrelease
proceduresdependencies and notificationlists
Researches newsoftware development and configuration management methodologiesand
technologiesand analyzes their application to current configuration managementneeds
