Responsibilities1. Agreement Drafting and Negotiation:- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a variety of agreements relevant to digital media operations, including content licensing agreements, distribution agreements, technology licensing agreements, and partnership agreements.- Ensure agreements comply with Indian laws, regulations, and industry standards.2. Legal Research and Advisory:- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on copyright law, intellectual property rights, licensing requirements, and regulatory issues affecting the digital media and OTT sector in India.- Provide timely and strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders on complex legal matters and emerging trends.3. Intellectual Property and Copyright Management:- Manage intellectual property rights, including copyright protection strategies and enforcement.- Advise on content clearance, fair use, and licensing requirements in compliance with Indian copyright laws.4. Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on digital media operations and OTT platforms in India.- Develop compliance strategies and policies to mitigate legal risks and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.5. Litigation and Dispute Resolution Support:- Assist in managing disputes, claims, and litigation related to digital media and OTT operations in India.- Coordinate with external counsel and stakeholders to strategize and resolve legal disputes effectively.6. Policy Development and Implementation:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corporate policies, procedures, and best practices related to digital media operations and regulatory compliance in India.- Conduct training sessions and provide legal updates to ensure awareness and compliance across the organization.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university; Master's degree or- specialization in relevant areas preferred.- Admission to the Bar Council of India with 7 years of post-qualification experience as a- practicing lawyer.- Proven experience (5+ years) in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing agreements in the- digital media sector, with specific knowledge of the OTT industry in India.- In-depth understanding of Indian copyright law, intellectual property rights, and- regulatory frameworks impacting the digital media and OTT sectors.- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legal documents and statutes.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
