Job Title: Legal Counsel (In-House)

Location: Assagao, Goa (On-site)

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Legal Counsel (In-House) to manage all legal and compliance matters for our business. This role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, preparing applications and filings, representing the company in proceedings, and closely coordinating with senior advocates and external legal advisors. The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage a wide range of legal responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, affidavits, and applications.
• Handle compliance-related work across corporate, real estate, and regulatory matters.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, hearings, and government offices when required.
• Prepare and file applications, petitions, and responses with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain organized legal records and case files.
• Coordinate with senior advocates, external counsel, and consultants to ensure smooth handling of ongoing matters.
• Monitor changes in relevant laws/regulations and keep management updated.
• Provide strategic legal advice to management on various transactions and disputes.

Qualifications & Skills

• LL.B. degree (LL.M. preferred but not mandatory).
• Enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of India.
• 3+ years of experience in litigation, compliance, or corporate law (real estate exposure preferred).
• Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory processes, property laws, and commercial law.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with senior lawyers.
• Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines independently.
