Department Overview
FIL Client Reporting team is responsible for development & maintenance of Enterprise Data Environment (EDE) which consists of multiple reporting databases & applications. It aims to act as a central repository of organization’s transaction data and cater to reporting needs which strategically supports multiple lines of businesses.
FIL Central Reporting team provides reporting solutions to various consumers across Institutional, DC and Wholesale Teams and acts as centralised reporting services across the portfolio offering the right mix of toolsets and capabilities in developing reporting solutions that are best in class in the client reporting, BI & analytics industry
Job Overview
The job expects the person to have in-depth hands-on knowledge of Java, J2EE architecture and specialize in designing the best in class BI and Analytics reporting solutions which are both performance and cost effective. The person should have proven experience in Oracle and PL/SQL technologies and should be hands-on with simple to complex query and Stored Procedure writing.
The person will be required to evaluate existing reporting solutions, design & develop the reporting solution as per the recommendations from the technical specialist and further devise strategies to migrate them to the strategic platforms.
Key responsibilities
Designing and development of best-in-class Reporting solutions to support client reporting and distribution within the Enterprise Delivery group. Design, code, test, and document all new or modified client reporting systems, applications, and programs. Document technical design specifications for report definitions and layout. Execute changes: designing, timely development and testing The person should be able to lead the development team from the front. Troubleshoot tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary. Participate in SW development lifecycle at various stages (Requirement Analysis, Testing, SIT, UAT etc) for validation & verification of proposed solution for a business problem.Experience and qualifications
Technical
BE / B.Tech. / MCA / any equivalent degree from a government recognized University / Institute. 7-10 years of experience in application development using core Java/J2EE, any of the following reporting tools, Web FOCUS 7.x, QlikView, Jasper, Vermilion, BOXI etc Around experience of 2 years in RDBMS in writing PL/SQL or Stored Procedures. Oracle 10G or above preferred. End to End knowledge of data warehouse architecture with preferred exposure in Oracle or equivalent database. Advanced Unix and shell scripting is an advantage Knowledge of different backup and DR strategies and exposure of load balancing in any reporting tool. Very sound knowledge of underlying infrastructure which includes servers, load balancers, metadata modelsBusiness Domain related
Exposure to the Finance industry would be desirable.Behavioural
