Job Title: Database Engineer Location: Bangalore, KA Work Mode: Hybrid – 3 Days onsite in office Job type: Contract 12+ Months with a possibility of extension About the Role: Our client is seeking a skilled Database Engineer with strong expertise in Postgre SQL to join the Performance Automation and SRE team . In this role, you will design, optimize, and manage high-performance database systems that power mission-critical applications. You will work closely with SREs, automation engineers, and product teams to ensure the database infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure . Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years of hands-on experience with Postgre SQL (design, performance tuning, replication, clustering). Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/pg SQL, and optimization techniques . Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting ( Python, Shell, or similar ). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). Exposure to SRE principles, observability tools, and automation frameworks . Excellent problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
