Position Summary: The Sr Manager for Infrastructure and Cloud Services (ICS) will play a pivotal role within our global function, operating from our Bangalore Office reporting to the IT Director of End User Computing with functional direction from the Sr Manager of End User Computing and Manufacturing/Lab IT. Given the establishment of Illumina’s new office, customer solutions center, and continued growth in India, we seek to onboard a Sr Manager to support the matrixed ICS organization on-site and to provide technical deliverables across End User Computing, Manufacturing IT, and Lab IT globally. I n this capacity, you will handle various management and IT tasks including but not limited to coaching team members, providing performance feedback, guiding training plans, design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, implementation of repairs, modifications, and upgrades, as well as diagnosing and resolving system errors or technical issues. You will oversee managed enterprise infrastructure platforms to detect performance concerns and ensure overall system integrity. Your responsibilities will also entail planning, conducting, and leading the analysis of business challenges through automated system solutions. Your duties will encompass providing a high level of engineering support and administration for the managed endpoint platform and services such as Intune, SCCM, and Jamf. The ideal candidate must possess practical experience in designing, building, and maintaining deployment pipelines for endpoint provisioning. Responsibilities: Partners with matrixed functional managers to oversee the performance management and development process for the assigned ICS team members and performs performance management duties, development planning and coaching for direct reports. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ability to be agile and pivot frequently with rapid changes in business & functional demand. Works on complex assignments where problem solving requires in-depth evaluation of varying factors and practices/procedures must be determined. Oversee the deployment and management of various applications across different platforms (Windows, i OS, Android, and mac OS). Set automation strategy (Forge/Rundeck/scripts) prioritize and review automation patterns for quality, security, and business value. Govern Intune, Jamf and SCCM platforms ensure compliance and audit readiness. Experience with Service Now and its various integration points. Serve as escalation point for major endpoint incidents, lead post-incident reviews and problem management to prevent recurrence. Partner with Information Security on endpoint security posture and global initiatives, along with a comprehensive understanding of endpoint security (laptops, desktops, mobiles, etc.) Manages projects, ensuring timelines, milestones, resources, budgets and documents are adhered to. Own budgets and forecasts to optimize run costs and vendor contracts to deliver measurable value. Build strong relationships with GIS and business stakeholders in line with GIS strategy Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs. Requirements: Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience. Articulate and persuasive oral and written communications skills. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with focus on customer service. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance. Capable of identifying and executing process improvement initiatives. Platform experience in SCCM, Intune and Jamf as a service owner. Knowledge in Active Directory and Azure environment including OS provisioning, software packaging, image management, and working with GPOs and configuration profiles for Mac and Windows devices. Understanding of AWS infrastructure and services. Proven project leadership in prioritizing, resource management, and process ownership to improve the customer experience. Preferred Education / Skills: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience Microsoft certifications: AWS certifications Jamf certifications Service Now accreditation ITIL Foundation Position Summary: Provides leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of one or more information technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software and database management. Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company’s data, tools and information systems. Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility. Usually requires subject matter knowledge of the user group for practical application of system characteristics. Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted. Typically focused on internal IT service delivery for employees, but may have an external client focus if involved with company-hosted, web-enabled, or outsourced solutions delivery. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs and other related duties may be assigned. Scope of Responsibilities: Establishes operational objectives and work plans. Determines resources needed to meet goals and delegates assignments to subordinates. Develops, modifies, and executes company policies that affect immediate operations and may have enterprise-wide effect. Works on complex assignments where problem solving requires conceptual thinking as all factors may not be clearly defined. Erroneous decisions may cause critical delay in accomplishing annual goals and directly impact the overall success of a team or program. Regularly interacts with lower and/or senior management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Applies knowledge to convince other stakeholders on desired departmental outcomes. Interactions require the ability to persuade others in sensitive and complex situations while preserving relationships. Manages activities of two or more disciplines or a department. Frequently advises team(s) on moderately complex matters and exercises supervision in terms of budget, methods, and staffing. Oversees experienced professionals and may be responsible for subordinate supervisors and/or managers. In some instances, may be responsible for a functional area and not have any subordinate employees. Experience / Education: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of related experience, with 3-6 years of Management experience.
