Position Details Position Title: Manager Department: Product Development Function: Marketing Location: Mumbai Reports to: Associate Vice President Job Scope / Position Summary Work on multiple lifestyle products. Design new products and modify existing products. Develop and drive VAS (value-added services) for new products. Ensure adherence to product-related regulatory notifications. Manage the end-to-end product cycle from conceptualization to launch. Liaise cross-functionally with internal stakeholders. Main Responsibilities / Key Result Areas 1. Product Filing Readiness Prepare filing documentation for product submissions. Lead product modifications as required. Drive VAS penetration across new product lines. Manage filing of products. 2. Product Development Governance Ensure all filing documents comply with Product Filing Guidelines and relevant regulations. Ensure adherence to Product Development SOPs. Manage queries from IRDAI & GARO. Prepare and report for the Monthly Product Governance Council. 3. Regulatory & Compliance Activities Coordinate cross-functionally for product filing, query management, system readiness, and launches as per Product Development SOP. Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Actuarial, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Claims, Marketing, Sales, and other relevant functions. 4. Driving DVP Hallmark & Related KPIs Maintain and manage the VAS inventory report. Achieve VAS Penetration KPI. Achieve VAS Adoption KPI. 5. Operationalizing Innovation Elements Identify and file innovative / PD team-led new propositions. Conduct market scans to track new product launches in the Indian market. Identify and implement innovation elements into product propositions. 6. Product Launch on Systems Finalize system requirements for product launches. Ensure adherence to launch TAT (turnaround time). Anchor launch activities including system readiness, training, communication, collaterals, and regulatory requirements. Manage vendors for product-related benefits where applicable. Monitor post-launch product performance. Qualification & Experience Education: Preferably MBA / Postgraduate in Insurance or a medical background. Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in General Insurance, preferably in Product Development and/or Underwriting functions. Exposure to customer-facing roles is a plus in addition to Product Development / Underwriting experience. Position Open to PwD (People with Disability) Can the position be opened to PwD?
