Position: Cloud Specialist - CE Infra
Location: REMOTE - Occasional Travel Involved to client site - Mangalore OR Udupi
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Job Description:
- As a Customer Engineer, you will work closely with the customers to understand their problem statement/requirements to develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, problem-solving any potential technical roadblocks to boost their businesses.
- You will work closely with the internal sales and delivery teams to inform them about the technical solution, effort estimates and the timeline required to implement the solutions designed by you.
- We deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions that leverage Google's cutting-edge technology to help companies operate more efficiently and adapt to changing needs, giving customers a foundation for the future.
- Customers in more than 150 countries turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to solve their most critical business problem.
- Challenge and inspire customers and peers to solve difficult problems with novel solutions, leveraging a sophisticated set of technical competences.
- Manage the go-to-market strategy from a technical perspective.
- Craft the strategy to transform the customers, identify key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
- Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
- Help the Account team to close agreements from a technical perspective.
- Recommend migration strategies, enterprise architectures, migration tools, and cloud infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in one of the following: cloud migration, data-center migration, disaster recovery, virtualization, application/servers assessment and discovery.
- Experience leading IT strategy discussion and design cloud adoption plans.
- Relevant Experience in Kubernetes: 2+ Years.
- Relevant Experience in Terraform: 2+ Years.
- Experience working with different databases (SQL, NoSQL, etc).
- Good Understanding of network connectivity between cloud providers and on-prem - VPN, Interconnect, Cloud Routers, firewalls etc.
- Ability to learn/work with emerging technologies and solutions on the cloud.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to problem solve and understand functional and technical requirements and document it appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or other technical field.
- Experience helping customers design and build applications using open source or cloud-native databases.
- Experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks (i.e. Spring Cloud, Istio), container orchestration systems (i.e. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Docker), networking concepts including: routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Experience with deployment methodologies and technologies (e.g., CI/CD, Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
- Knowledge of VMware technology stack (e.g., vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, etc.)
- Basic understanding of Cloud Security parameters - Web application firewalls, NGFW, Endpoint security, Zero Trust frameworks, SIEM, SOAR services etc.
- Certification - AWS or Azure or GCP Architect.
